Welcome to COP15 Host Broadcaster

The COP15 conference is the fifteenth Conference of the Parties under the United Nations Climate Change Conference. The conference will take place from 7 December to 18 December 2009 in the Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark.

TV 2 | DANMARK, Danmon System Groups and East Production are appointed Host Broadcasters of the COP15 in Copenhagen. In coorporation with Eurovision, DR and BBH Host Broadcasters will provide live TV- and audio feeds during the UN Climate Change Conference 2009 including live streams from the 2 plenary rooms and from appointed press rooms. It is our ambition to provide the best working conditions for all participating TV- and radio broadcasters. To ensure this our website will be updated regularly with news and practical information for all interested broadcasters. For further information or special requests please contact the Host Broadcaster Secretariat. Contact information is available on this website.

We will establish an International Broadcasting Centre (IBC) at the conference venue to serve television and radio broadcasters. The International Broadcasting Centre is operated by the Host Broadcasters and will provide live video and audio pool feeds. TV-studio, radio-studio, editing facilities and satellite uplinks will be operational at the IBC provided by the Host Broadcasters. Furthermore there will be a rental shop providing technical equipment, manpower etc.

Host Broadcasters will provide a number of stand-up positions available for TV-broadcasting at the venue. There will be a broad variety of live possibilities including stand-up positions and TV studio. The standup positions will be equipped according to different categories and may be booked on agreement with a variety of equipment, from fully equipped to a bare minimum.

At the IBC 142 cubicles will be available for television and radio broadcasters and news agencies. The cubicles will be equipped to receive live video and audio feeds from the two Plenary-rooms as well as from the 5 press rooms. Audio feeds will be in English and in the original/floor language. Work booths in the International Broadcast Centre will be assigned upon request.

Rate Cards for the different kind of services will be available on this website.

Press and media participation at UNFCCC Conferences is subject to accreditation by the UNFCCC secretariat. Accreditation is strictly reserved for members of the press - print media, photo, radio, TV, news agencies, and online news services - who fully meet UN media accreditation requirements.
