Standup Positions
According to UNFCCC regulation broadcasters will not be allowed to do any cabling of their own in the Bella Center. All live Standup positions are pre-cabled by Host Broadcaster and will be handled by the Booking Office.
It will be possible to book Standup positions for occasional use and for long term bookings. It is possible to bring own equipment and crew - please see Facility Ratecard.
It will be possible to do Live Standups at three different locations within the IBC:
PLENARY 1
There will be 4 standup positions at the back of Plenary 1, which is main confenrence room. Backdrop is a shot facing the main stage shot across the entire plenary room. The positions are fitted with light, cabling to the MCR and IFB.
LOUNGE
There will be 4 Standup positions in the lounge area outside Plenary 1.
The positions are fitted with cabling to the MCR and IFB.

BRIDGE
On the bridge crossing the large hall within the IBC there will be 15 standup positions. EBU will manage 5 of the standup positions on the bridge and the rest will be managed by Host Broadcaster.
The bridge is at first floor level with a backdrop of the main hall beneath in the Bella Center. Positions will be fitted with light from a rig. As there will be cabling to the MCR and IFB on all positions.
WIRELESS POSITIONS
A last option for standups will be to wireless. Host Broadcaster rents out 3 wireless ENG kits with signal back to the MCR. These wireless ENG kits contain SD camera, wireless transmitter, sungun, sound, IFB via mobile phone and a cameraman.
The wireless kit gives you the opportunity to choose your position yourself - there will be three areas covered within the IBC.
- the VIP entrance/Foyer outside Plenary 1
- the Center Hall
- NGO area
The camera cannot be moved between these areas.

Standup positions communication setup
On each position there will be installed one ISDN 2, terminated in standard NTab box. Each position will be be equipt with analogue telephone balance unit together with one beltpack for earpiece and headset.
Earpiece to reporter and headset for cameraman will be available on each position as well.
This equipment will allow the reporter to receive IFB from home studio to earpiece. Reporter will communicate via progam sound circuit by return to home studio. Cameraman will be able to receive the same IFB and talkback to either home MCR ot home studio via headset.

Belt Pack Four-Wire box
FEATURES

Telephone Balance Unit
FEATURES
- Isolated, full duplex 4-wire interface to non-digital telephone direct exchange lines.
- The unit is line powered, requiring no battery or external power.
- Simple optimization of sidetone rejection with all telephone systems abroad.
- LED indication of RING and OFF-HOOK condotions.
- Input level control with line-sensing limiter and limit indicator.
- High drive output with level control for direct feed to presenters earpiece etc.
- Loop-through British and American line sockets provide universal connection to line and telephone set.
- Connection to the telephone set is maintained while the unit is in use.
- Small rugged metal case with XLR3 male and female 4-wire connectors.
