Radio broadcasting/TV editing facilities

Opposite the MCR at the IBC there will be 6 minor booths for TV editing and Radio broadcasting. All 6 booths will be cabled to the MCR

RADIO BROADCASTING
In addition to the work cubicles allocated to major broadcasters free of charge, 3 small radio booths will be available on a commercial basis at the IBC. The radio booths can be used with own editing or hired gear for radio-broadcasting.

The booths are not entirely soundproof, but are located in a quiet area of the media centre.
The booths have the following standards:

- 2,6 x 2,0 meter enclosed space with lockable door.
- furnished with table and 2 chairs.
- power outlets.
- TV monitor with pool signal from Plenary 1-2 and pressroom 1-2.
- 1 ISDN line (EURO ISDN standard, 2x64Kb).
- WLAN access: 801.11 AGN, 300 Mbps shared.
- Internet capacity: min 5 Mbps/max 10 Mbps

TV EDITING
The booths for TV editing is equipped as follows:

- booth with 2 workspaces.
- AVID Newscutter with SDI MOJO.
- 10 hour storage (DV 25).
- voice-over possibility

It will be possible to import recordings from the Plenary rooms and the pressrooms (Quicktime movie with DV 25 codec). Furthermore it will be possible to export editied material to the MCR (Quicktime movie with 25 codec).
